"to know God better and share that fellowship with others"
About Klesis

Our name comes from the New Testament Greek word, klesis (κλῆσις) (pronounced clay-sis) which means "calling" (e.g. Ephesians 4:1). Aptly, our logo is the kookaburra, a native Australian kingfisher with a distinctive call.

Klesis seeks to connect and equip Christians for God’s glory. We publish a quarterly magazine, InterSections, as well as books and other publications. We conduct KlesisEquip courses, seminars, workshops, and other events. To help spur spiritual growth, we offer resources like Re-ignite.

Spiritually nurtured among non-denominational Churches of Christ, we maintain a special ministry and Church Directory for this fellowship in Australia. We also provide links to schools, universities, and parachurch ministries operating internationally by Christians from this fellowship.

We collaborate with individuals and churches while encouraging and respecting the growth, leadership, and self-governance of local congregations. We’re happy to have conversations with anyone who seeks to know God better.

In our activities, we point everyone to Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, and God the Father as the source of all life. We accept the Bible as God’s inspired and authoritative message for humanity. We’re convinced that Scripture is useful for training Christians in right living so that we can be equipped for every good work (2 Timothy 3:15-16).

Klesis Institute was established in 2004 in Melbourne, Australia, by Benny & Pauline Tabalujan. Our friends and supporters come from various walks of life. All share a common aim: to know God better and share his love with others. We invite you to join us in that journey and be part of God’s story.
